Upward Basketball is a recreational and instructional basketball league promoting character, self-esteem, and Salvation. The end of the Upward season includes an awards ceremony and league award for each participant.
How Do I Sign Up?
Registration Information:
Early registration cost per child for basketball is $55; after November 20 is $65.
Deadline for registration is December 5.
Basketball shorts are optional at a cost of $15.
Please make checks payable to First Baptist Church.
Scholarships are available. For scholarship information and questions, please contact John Raizor by email or at 502-321-1599.

Form and registration fee may be dropped off at the church office anytime between 8:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Evaluations and Sign-ups:
Everyone must attend one basketball evaluation. They will take place at the First Baptist Church Family Life Center, Shelbyville, as follows:
Kindergarten through 8th Grade Boys/Girls:
Monday, November 30, between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Tuesday, December 1, between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Thursday, December 3, between 5:30 p.m. and 8:00 p.m.
Saturday, December 5, between 9:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
League Schedule:
Monday, January 4, 2010 - Practices Begin.
Saturday, January 16, 2010 - First Game.
Tuesday, March 16, 2010 - Awards Celebration.
Coaching:
We always have great participation from girls and boys for our Upward Basketball Program, so we need lots of coaches and helpers. If you are interested in coaching or helping, please contact John Raizor by email or at 502-321-1599. As you might expect, we require that each coach submit to a background check. It is easy and free. Please follow the link below and complete the online form.
